Every hour of every day, we are encountered with decisions to make. From the simple “what should I eat for lunch?” to the complicated “how do I increase my profits this quarter?”. In each and every decision there is a eco-logical way of answering the question. Our vision is a world where more people make smarter decisions, more often. We opened On Your Marks to offer a high quality print service, with minimal eco-impact. Our vision is a world where business and communities live in harmony, and the human race and its economies learn to co-exist sustainably with planet earth.
At On Your Marks, we take our decisions very seriously. We have reduced our footprint in each and every way possible including:
- We run Energy Star, digital, no-waste presses for the majority of our projects
- Our Production Processes use absolutely NO WATER
- We stock and recommend FSC papers for all our print runs.
- We also stock a variety of 100% Post Consumer Recycled papers
- We use vegetable based inks for offset print runs
- We hire independent recycling contractors to ensure our minimal waste is handled properly.
- We do not have a dumpster at all- instead focus on efficient recycling and composting systems.
- We buy our minimal power usage from Bullfrog Power, a renewal energy company.
- We use recycled and recyclable packaging
- We ensure all our equipment is on power save or off mode when not in use. We train accordingly.
- We Train our staff to put the planet before profit and thinking of the Eco-logical approach in all our shop decisions.
- We actually recommend our clients print less quantity in order to avoid overages that go to waste before being put to use.
- We group deliveries when possible to avoid any added vehicles on the road.
- Our delivery vehicles are multi tasking family owned Hondas.
and most importantly...
• We Are SMALL BUSINESS.
We are a small family owned, locally managed company. Our staff all live within a small distance of our production facility, and the owners are dedicated to funding and fundraising for many local associations and needs.
We challenge other businesses to think the Eco-Logical Way and tell us what they have changed in their operations to meet the biggest challenge faced by our civilization ever. |
