Lately, I’ve had the planet on my brain a lot more than I used to. From signs of climate change in devastating events, to recent warnings from the scientific community worldwide, to the green products popping up all over the place,- it’s hard to forget about our environmental responsibilities.

I feel like an EarthHead more and more and find myself in eco-discussions with folks I never used to converse with about policy and the world around us. I’ve discovered many more EarthHeads along the way.

This first issue of EarthHeads represents a collection of ideas, creative visuals, and short stories written by EarthHeads from acr
oss Canada.

My aim with this EarthHead project is to inspire discussion. My personal evolution from earth dweller to earth conservationist is only at its beginning stages. The necessary changes we all need to make, take time to sink in, and time to put into effect. Changing the way an entire civilization operates within the word around it, is no short order.

What we need is more discussion, and more enthusiasm in creating a different and renewed system. This challenge is great- but it is achievable. As an EarthHead, I believe in our future here on Earth, but increasingly, I know I need to make some serious changes if I am going to be a part of the necessary solution.
